Do you want to extend your days in Tenerife? Keep reading because we are about to suggest some party spots in the island so that you wrap up your sightseeing days in some of the best clubs in Tenerife.
Assuming your travelling route goes from south to north, let’s go discover Tenerife by stopping at Adeje and Arona, in the South; and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna and Puerto de la Cruz in the north.
South of Tenerife
Most hotels are located in the south of the island, between Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas y Los Cristianos. In this section of the coast, there are good clubs, and lounge and chill-outs bars where tourists are the regular customers. They tend to be more exclusive, with djs and the best music. But that is obviously reflected on the bill. There are also pubs and bars with live music.
Las Verónicas area
Las Verónicas area, in Los Cristianos, is the one preferred by foreigners, who come here looking to party for less than they’d do at their country of origin. Here, thousands of British tourists pack out pubs and clubs, some of which have had a long history in the island.
The most popular in the area is Tramps, one of the best House Clubs in the Canary Islands, with local djs and the party atmosphere typical of big international clubs.
Papagayo Beach Club
A very nice beach restaurant during the day; and one of the most popular places for its parties and djs at night. In the meantime, incredible sunsets, with the sun hiding behind La Gomera island. Focusing on the night life, fun is guaranteed 365 days a year, with dj sessions every weekend. Set in a white building in Troya beach, this is, without a doubt, one of the party spots to visit in Tenerife.
Playa de las Vistas – San Telmo
Close to Playa de las Vistas, one of the most crowded, there is San Telmo, another great spot in Los Cristianos. This is less packed with foreigners than Las Verónicas and the environment is far more relaxed in the pubs and music bars facing the sea. The variety of music is wider: rock, reggae, salsa and dance.
There is another pretty different area within the surroundings of the Safari shopping centre. After spending the afternoon in the shopping centre, you can make a stop at the bars and lounges, such as Magic, next to the Hard Rock Café. You can make up how it would look like at night by navigating through the previous Google Street View image.
Let’s head up north, to the municipality of Costa Adeje. Between the Puerto Colón Yacht Club and the beach Torvisca, there are terraces and bars to listen to music and have a beer or a drink. Later, you can continue with the party in the clubs located in the tourist streets, with Achaman as one of the dance floors of reference.
North of Tenerife
The north of Tenerife is also a very touristy place, as well as the rest of the Canary Islands, but its nightlife does not reach the level of the south of the island. Let’s see what we got in Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz and La Laguna.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Calle Noria and its surroundings is where the party happens in Santa Cruz. In the city’s old town, when the night comes, many of the restaurants set in the old houses of La Noria are transformed into pubs and clubs for all musical preferences. The ones that stand out are: Mojos y Mojitos and Los Reunidos.
Up north, leaving the port behind, you’ll find Avenida de Anaga, another place to spend a few hours of your Tenerife nights. Here most of the bars have terraces so that you can enjoy the island of the eternal spring.
Puerto de la Cruz
The night scene in Santa Cruz hides a Latin character in its pubs and clubs that not a lot of people know about and that keeps some of the streets in the city awake until late, or even early in the morning. This Latin essence, and a lot of salsa, is reflected in the slogan for the nights in Puerto de la Cruz: Azúcar. And as a dance floor, of all music styles, we should highlight Mansion Lounge & Music.
Some other places that cannot be missing in your list are the gay friendly bars and clubs in Avenida Betancourt y Molina, such as the Vampis Club.
For some, the best parties in the island are in La Laguna. The whole night activity is concentrated in a few streets, with all types of bars and a very distinctive university profile. We are talking about the Cuadrilátero (integrated by the streets Heraclio Sánchez, Antonio González, Elías Serra and María del Cristo Osuna), and a very good example is the Strasse pub. Among the surrounding pubs, we recommend Kapitel and Búho. Not far from there is Barock, even though the club area in La Laguna is in the suburbs, passing Los Rodeos Airport (Tenerife Norte).
We have recommended you some party spots in several cities, which you would probably pass through at the beginning or at the end of your trip to Tenerife. Remember that the access points to the island are the Tenerife Norte and Tenerife Sur Airports. Precisely, in Tenerife Sur Airport, you will find the new branches of Global Exchange.
